Groceries for your stay.

Two markets are within a five-minute walk from the apartment: La Boqueria and Santa Caterina. While La Boqueria is larger and iconic, it is also very crowded with tourists. Santa Caterina is frequented by the locals. Both markets have charcuterie and cheese, large olive bars, fresh fruit and veggies, as well as specialty items. They each have lovely spots to sit down and enjoy local fare.

Our favorite grocery store is found three blocks away on the basement level El Corte Ingles on the Plaza Catalunya. In addition to the grocery area, there are also specialty stalls with hot foods, bakeries, gourmet items, fine wine and sweets.

Carrefour is another fairly large grocery store, located a few blocks away on La Rambla. In a pinch, Spar is a small market on Canuda with limited inventory.

Health food: The multiple Veritas locations around the city offer fantastic healthy selections.

Coffee: While there are closer spots, our favorite coffee shop is Hidden Coffee Roasters in El Born.

Wine/Beer/Spirits: Grocery stores carry many selections, specialty shops like El Cellar in La Boqueria and Vila Vinateca in El Born offer large selections.
